Forum on the leadership and the ethics from 9 till 11 April 2006 A Malagasy delegation, constituted by "Chief of staff", Henri Ranaivoson and by the Director of the good governance, Henri Rabesahala, participated in the Conference on the Leadership and the ethics which was held in the University Keble, Oxford, from 9 till 11 April 2006. This conference was organized by the World Bank, the IIPE (International Institute for public Ethics), United Nations University, the DFID (Department for International Development in UK), the AusAID (Australian Agency for International Development), the USAID (US Agency for International Development) and the IIM (Integrity Institute of Malaysia). The organizers underlined that the corruption and the bad governance are obstacles to the fulfillment of the development of the poor countries. A leadership and an ethics well mastered are so missing elements in the governmental reforms of these countries. The leadership, the ethics and the integrity in the public life were the main points approached during the forum. It was the occasion to drew men and leaders having made a significant contribution in the governmental practices of their countries and having demonstrated an exemplary leadership in the domains of the public sector, the civil society, the media, or local communities. For Madagascar, the "Chief of staff" presented the stages which were already realized in good governance, clear and concise presentation which unanimously convinced the participants of the big advance of Madagascar in this domain with regard to the other present countries. |
